Why is flower foam bad for the environment?

Flower foam has been shown in several recent studies to be harmful to the environment. It is non-biodegradable and contains as much plastic as 10 plastic bags. But, it is still a common practice among many florists for its convenience.

Foam is made with known carcinogens, and contains a lot of microplastics. It can also be damaging to people’s lungs when exposed to them for long periods.

We want what is best for everyone. Our clients, our people, and our partners. Not to mention the environment.

We are always working towards finding more sustainable solutions for our business.. Sharing our knowledge and skillset with other florists on how to work without foam is something that is important to us.

While we know we aren’t perfect, we are always looking for ways to improve the sustainability of our business. Where possible we use seasonal British flowers and foliages.
